Jeff and Matt Hardy making blockbuster appearance in WWE after AEW exit is possible, says backstage personality
A WWE personality says that Jeff and Matt Hardy making a blockbuster appearance in the Stamford-based promotion was possible. This comes after Jeff Hardy showed up at a recent TNA pay-per-view.
Sam Roberts was the latest to comment on the future of The Hardy Boyz. Matt and Jeff first made names for themselves in Stamford-based promotion. They gained a lot of prominence for their high-flying antics in the ring and won multiple accolades with the promotion. When their successful run with the company ended, they wrestled for other promotions around the world such as TNA Wrestling and AEW.
Recently Jeff Hardy made his return to TNA at the Against All Odds PPV fuelling speculation that he could also show up in the Stamford-based promotion. This is due to TNA's current partnership with WWE which has seen Jordynne Grace compete in NXT and Tatum Paxley compete in TNA.
Speaking on his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts believes that there was a possibility that Jeff and Matt Hardy could make a blockbuster appearance for the Stamford-based promotion. He added that having the legendary brothers appear just once would be a massive thing for the WWE Universe.
"I'm interested to see what The Hardy Boyz at this phase in their careers do, you know. Do we see since there's this partnership The Hardy Boyz jump in and do something on NXT. It could be really cool. Would WWE save that and go, 'No, we should probably have that on the main roster!' The Hardy Boyz are a big deal especially is it's just like a one-off specialty thing," said Roberts. [46:18 - 46:40]
