Jim Cornette urges Tony Khan to book former AEW Champion to lose a squash match at Full Gear 2024
WWE veteran Jim Cornette believes Tony Khan should have Bobby Lashley squash former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland at Full Gear. Tony Khan is the President and Head of Creative in All Elite Wrestling.
Ever since their arrival in AEW, Bobby Lashley, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin (The Hurt Syndicate) have been feuding with Prince Nana and Swerve Strickland. Lashley and Swerve have landed cheap shots on each other during the build-up to their singles match at AEW Full Gear.
Speaking on his The Experience podcast, Jim Cornette questioned whether Bobby Lashley is going to be competitive or squash Swerve Strickland at Full Gear. He claimed that Lashley should end the match and take out Swerve in around two minutes.
"Think about this, What has been getting over a positive reaction in front of the people that exist in the arenas consistently over the past several weeks. MVP and The Hurt Syndicate, Shelton, introduction of Lashley. Is Lashley gonna be competitive in his very first match in the company? and before you're afraid of Frankenstein, before you've even seen him chase villagers, you're already scared of fire and all this other stuff. Or is he gonna come out and bombard and dismantle Swerve [Strickland] in about two and a half minutes." [From 23:40 to 24:20]

Bobby Lashley recently shared some details about his AEW contract
Bobby Lashley recently debuted in AEW after leaving WWE in August. The All Mighty recently opened up about his contract with the promotion and if Tony Khan allows him to pursue other projects.
In a recent appearance on The Lame Guys podcast, Bobby Lashley revealed that he's allowed to compete in boxing, bareknuckles, and MMA fights. He explained that his contract includes the ability to take on outside projects.
“I think part of it was because Tony [Khan] did tell me that I had [the] opportunity to do other things also. So if I do want to really tackle that fight and do another fight — whether it’s boxing, bareknuckles, MMA — I think he’ll give me the opportunity to. Then all my other projects also that I’ve been working on,” Lashley said. “So I think that was part of it, just having the ability to do other things.” [H/T: F4wonline]
We will have to wait and see how Bobby Lashley and Swerve Strickland's match at AEW Full Gear turns out.
