Jim Ross breaks down Britt Baker's AEW return and her showdown with Mercedes Mone
The WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross reflected on the AEW return of Britt Baker at Forbidden Door. JR shed light on her face-off with the current TBS Champion Mercedes Mone as well.
Britt Baker made her blockbuster return after nearly 10 months at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door Pay-Per-View. She showed up while Mercedes Mone was celebrating her TBS and NJPW Strong Women's Title win.
Recently, the WWE Hall of Famer and current AEW commentator, Jim Ross expressed his thoughts on the return of Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. While speaking on his Grilling JR podcast recently, JR said:
"I was happy and it got a great pop, you know the thing about these returns, Britt got a great ovation, the fans embraced her, they're glad to see her, glad that she's back, all the boxes were checked quite frankly... It'll be interesting to see how she pairs up skill-set-wise with Mercedes Mone. Mercedes Mone needs a strong opponent and hopefully, Britt's going to fill that void, and I look forward to seeing them work."
Ross also recalled Baker's memorable match with Thunder Rosa admitting he is anxious about Brit's feud with Mone:
"It's still going to take some time for me to get over the fact that we had Britt and Thunder Rosa, and I thought they had great chemistry, it worked out really well. So, I'm anxious to see where this goes and hopefully, they'll have chemistry in the ring, that's where it really counts... So, I'm glad she's back, she helps us, she helps AEW." [From 26:33 to 28:20]

Britt Baker challenged Mercedes Mone for AEW All In
After her triumphant return to Forbidden Door, Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. kicked off AEW Dynamite this past Wednesday. She later got interrupted by Mone and the two women had a heated confrontation. Baker then challenged The CEO to a match at All In 2024.
Mercedes also told Britt to get in the back of the line. The segment ended with Mone flashing her TBS and NJPW Strong Women's Title. It remains to be seen where the story between the two goes from here.
