Jim Ross reacts to Donald Trump's win, recalls meeting: "All he wanted to talk about was women"

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has reacted to the major news of Donald Trump winning the 2024 United States elections. JR also disclosed his past meeting with Trump.

Donald Trump secured a victory over his competitor, Kamala Harris, in the 2024 US Presidential elections. The members of the pro wrestling fraternity gave their opinions on the president-elect as well. Legendary announcer Jim Ross, who is currently signed to AEW, also expressed his thoughts on the development.

Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast recently, Jim Ross stated that he was not surprised by Donald Trump's victory.

"I was not surprised; I thought he'd win big time, and I'm not a big fan of his, but he is the president... going to be the president of the United States again, and out of respect for our country and that office, I'm not gonna s**t on his victory even though I'm not a big fan of him. I remember vividly talking to him at length in Green Bay," he said.

The 72-year-old also recalled meeting with Donald Trump years ago, revealing that "all he wanted to talk about was women."

"I guess he was setting up for a showdown with Vince [McMahon], and he was a personable guy, but all he wanted to talk about was women. So he and I have something in common. Congratulations to him! They ran a smart campaign, unless you think he can do what says he wanna do. So here's the best to Donald!" [1:10-2:18]

Jim Ross on whether he hates Triple H

During WWE's Ruthless Aggression Era, Jim Ross never minced his words while criticizing Triple H's heelish tactics on television. This made fans think that the two hate each other.

Speaking on Grilling JR recently, Ross stated the following about the same:

"I went on a vendetta [as a television character] about him and tried to make him a bigger heel than he was. There's still people to this very day who think that I hate Triple H and he hates me and all that stuff. It's pro wrestling. Our job is to get talent over and to establish their persona, and I thought we did a nice job of establishing Triple H's persona that followed his lead on how all that stuff worked out."

Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see if JR returns to WWE in the future.
