Jim Ross says former WWE star had psychological issues: "I don't mean that throwing her under the bus"
Jim Ross recently commented on a former WWE star. He said this star had psychological issues.
Luna Vachon first started working for WWE in 1993. She immediately gained a lot of attention due to her intimidating presence. She started her career as Shawn Michaels' valet. After about a year in the company, she left to work for ECW and WCW. She returned back to work for WWE between 1997 and 2000. She worked with many people during her time in the Stamford-based promotion. One of the people she worked with was Jim Ross.
During a recent episode of the Grilling JR podcast, the WWE veteran spoke about his time working with Luna Vachon. He noted that she had some psychological issues.
"Luna, god bless her, had some psychological issues," Ross said. "I don't mean that throwing her under the bus or whatever, she was fragile. She didn't look fragile, she looked like a tank, and she was dangerous. The other women were by and large, maybe not all of them, but a lot of them were leary of working with her because she could hurt you."
He continued to say that Luna always seemed uneasy and uncomfortable but he enjoyed working with her despite her psychological issues.
"I wish things had worked out better for Luna," Ross said. "I had several instances where she was nice as pie, but you could tell she was always uneasy and uncomfortable. I got into a situation there where there wasn't a whole hell of a lot I could do about it. I couldn't change her psychological makeup, she was very insecure, but I enjoyed working with her." Jim Ross wasn't interviewed for the Vince McMahon docuseries
Netflix is releasing a docuseries on the life of Vince McMahon. The streaming platform even released the trailer for the show. Several people were interviewed to be a part of the series but one prominent name was left off.
Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross mentioned that he was never interviewed for the Vince McMahon docuseries. He also noted that he knew every secret about the former WWE Chairman.
"I would have been happy to do an interview if I had been approached. But that didn’t occur, and I’m not sure why because I know every secret, every corner, the whole nine yards. My feelings aren’t hurt because I wasn’t involved in it, might be better that I wasn’t just because it would be easier to watch. A lot of us hate seeing ourselves on television.” [H/T: Inside The Ropes]
It would've been interesting to hear what secrets Jim Ross could've shared about Vince McMahon given the proximity between the two when they worked together.
