Jim Ross was scared during a top AEW star's Full Gear match: "You can't use them anymore till they're healthy"

The AEW Full Gear 2024 event witnessed several incredible matches and scary spots. One of the most shocking spots involved Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher.

The former stablemates went head-to-head at the Full Gear PPV after Fletcher betrayed Ospreay at WrestleDream last month. During the match, Fletcher delivered a jumping tombstone piledriver from the apron to the top of the steel steps to The Aerial Assassin.

Jim Ross recently addressed the risky spot on his Grilling JR podcast. The legendary commentator admitted that he was scared to see Ospreay eat up the nasty version of the piledriver, as it could have seriously hurt the former AEW International Champion.

"It was scary. I go back to my talent relations days; the worst thing that could happen is a main event-type player getting injured on a show that would require him or her to miss time. It not only adds to your medical bills on your budget, which is neither here nor there; that's not the biggest deal, but it takes somebody away from your booking,'' he said.

The WWE Hall of Famer added:

''You can't use them anymore till they're healthy. So that's been a little bit of an issue. But I thought that scared the sh*t out of me, boy. It really did. That spot scared the hell out of me. I thought there's no way both these dudes are going to walk away from this, okay, but they did. I guess that's the thing about youth!'' [9:30-10:28]
