Jon Moxley admits he was surprised by former AEW champion; calls him "cold-blooded"

AEW World Champion Jon Moxley admitted that he underestimated a former Champion. He also called his rival "cold-blooded."

The name in question is former International Champion Orange Cassidy. On the most recent Collision episode, Jon Moxley appeared for a backstage promo alongside Marina Shafir.

The Death Riders leader sent a message to Orange Cassidy ahead of their AEW World title match next Saturday at Full Gear pay-per-view. The champion admitted in his promo that he underestimated Cassidy:

"I've underestimated Orange Cassidy. I've pushed him in the ring before, but this sport's about so much more than what goes on between the ropes. I thought when I broke Chuck Taylor's neck one of two things would happen. Either he would turn to a shakey puddle of tears, and I walk right over him or he'd be back into the corner and snap back, bring the animal out of Orange Cassidy."

Moxley further defined Orange Cassidy as "cold-blooded."

"Neither those two things happened and now I see it for the first time. [...] Can't believe I didn't say it before, Orange Cassidy is a snake, cold-blooded, reptilian, unnerved." [0:01-0:56]

Jon Moxley later vowed to destroy Cassidy in their match at Full Gear next Saturday. It remains to be seen who walks out of the pay-per-view as the champion.
