Jon Moxley has an ambitious 20-year plan for AEW

Former WWE star Jon Moxley recently discussed an interesting plan for All Elite Wrestling. The Purveyor of Violence is the current AEW World Champion.

Jon Moxley won the AEW World Championship at WrestleDream 2024. He defeated Bryan Danielson to clinch the title and officially ended the latter's full-time in-ring career in the process. The win made Moxley the only star in the promotion to win the World Championship on four occasions.

In a recent interview with Youngstown Studio, Jon Moxley said that he was not concerned about his current path and was more interested in what was to come in the next 20 years for All Elite Wrestling. Moxley then put over the organization for securing a great television and streaming deal, which will start in January 2025.

"I'm not really concerned about what it is right now, I'm concerned about what it could be five years from now, 10 years from now, or 20 years from now. That is the exciting thing for me. Now, we have a new television deal, now we'll be streaming on HBO Max which brings out new opportunities. Pro wrestling is always changing, always growing, and always evolving, and if you don't keep up with it and are not constantly learning, you get left behind. " [12:55 - 14:17]

Jon Moxley claims AEW is still in its initial stages

All Elite Wrestling was started in 2019 and it changed the landscape of professional wrestling. The promotion provided an alternative to wrestlers and fans. Over the past five years, many WWE stars have jumped ship to the Jacksonville-based promotion.

In the same interview, Jon Moxley claimed that All Elite Wrestling was still new to professional wrestling. He called the promotion a 'toddler' and said it still had a long way to go.

"It's still a baby. My daughter is three years old. Three years seem like a long time if you look at it through one length but if you look at it through a different length then she's just a three-year-old, she just barely existed yet. AEW is still basically a toddler." [11:00 - 11:18]

We will have to wait and see what All Elite Wrestling has in store for Jon Moxley's title reign in the coming weeks.
