Jon Moxley creates history; becomes 4-time AEW World Champion at WrestleDream 2024

Jon Moxley became a four-time AEW World Champion after his big win at the WrestleDream 2024 pay-per-view. He is the first-ever wrestler to clinch the coveted title four times in his career.

At the recently concluded WrestleDream pay-per-view, Jon Moxley challenged Bryan Danielson for the AEW World Championship in the main event. The match kicked off with "Final Countdown" playing in the background as the two viciously assaulted each other.

Marina Shafir got involved in the bout to help Moxley before she was removed from ringside by the referee. At the end of a back-and-forth encounter, Moxley shockingly made Bryan Danielson pass out with a sleeper hold. Fans in the arena were shocked to see The Purveyor of Violence secure the World Title.

With his victory, Moxley became the first-ever four-time AEW World Champion in the history of the company. Meanwhile, Danielson's full-time career seemingly ended following his loss to the former Dean Ambrose. The 43-year-old previously mentioned that he would retire after losing the championship.

Only time will tell what the future has in store for The American Dragon after his defeat at WrestleDream.
