"Jon Moxley, I challenge you for the AEW World Championship" - Irate star calls out the BCC leader on Fright Night Dynamite
A beloved AEW star called out Jon Moxley for a future World Title match on Fright Night Dynamite. The talent in question has a bone to pick with The Blackpool Combat Club after the heel group destroyed one of his long-time friends.
The October 30, 2024 edition of Dynamite once again opened with a recap of The BCC exiting the arena after Claudio Castagnoli stomped out Chuck Taylor's neck with a steel-chair collaring it last week. However, the broadcast was interrupted by an irate Orange Cassidy, who walked out to the ring to address the violent faction.
The Freshly Squeezed star confessed that he did not see himself as a leader, but went on to stress the dangers posed by Jon Moxley and company to AEW's up-and-coming talent. Revealing that he intends to take care of The BCC himself without putting any more of his peers at risk, Cassidy challenged The Purveyor of Violence to face him with the All Elite Wrestling World Championship on the line.
"See if Jon Moxley has his way, there is no future [All Elite Wrestling], they have no place to go. See, Jon Moxley doesn't need AEW, he never needed [All Elite Wrestling], but I need [All Elite Wrestling], I don't exist without [All Elite Wrestling]... So now I know what I need to do, and that is stop this, cut the head off the snake, and make sure nobody else gets hurt, and I will do it alone, by myself, to protect everybody. And how [do] I do that? Jon Moxley, I challenge you, for the AEW World Championship," he said.
It remains to be seen whether Cassidy and Moxley will go one-on-one at Full Gear 2024, just over a year after beating the self-proclaimed One True King at the same pay-per-view in 2023.
