Jon Moxley could lose his cool on Renee Paquette leading to top AEW star's return, veteran feels
A wrestling veteran has pitched an interesting angle involving Jon Moxley lashing out at his wife, AEW backstage interviewer Renee Paquette. This, in turn, could lead to a top star's comeback to television.
The Blackpool Combat Club has been leaving a trail of destruction behind them in their war against the All Elite locker room, which they are supposedly motivated to transform for the better. The saga began when Jon Moxley joined forces with Marina Shafir on Dynamite almost two months ago.
Since then, The Problem has routinely accompanied Mox and his group in their attacks on AEW talent. The stable's antics have led fans and veterans to speculate on the eventual return of Eddie Kingston, who has a history with The BCC and Moxley, as a heroic obstacle to the team.
On a recent edition of Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray pitched an angle that would witness Renee Paquette confronting the AEW World Champion over his actions and his association with Marina Shafir.
"How do we make Jon Moxley so hated that Eddie Kingston is the savior? Who's the conduit between Moxley and Kingston that Moxley could take his frustrations out on? His wife [Renee Paquette]," Bully said. "What are you doing? First of all, why are you hanging out with Marina Shafir? And why are you doing this to a company that you came over to, and that you convinced me to come over to?"
Ray's story would also depict Moxley as dismissive of and aggressive towards Paquette, drawing the audience's heat on him. This would pave the way for Eddie Kingston's return.
"If you wanted to bring this to the edge, obviously Moxley verbally shuts her down. But if Renee puts her hands on Jon, and Jon swats her hand away, I'd go farther with this, trust me, but I'm going to keep it 2024," Bully continued. "Jon takes her hands and [says] 'Take you hands off of me.' Could you imagine how much people would dislike Moxley for talking down to his wife and implying the he would get physical with her? Now, you have hatred. Now, if in your scenario Kingston comes back and he's the savior, now, they'll want to see Kingston kill Moxley." [H/T - Wrestling Inc]
Jon Moxley and The BCC claimed another victim on AEW Dynamite
The Blackpool Combat Club appeared on this week's Dynamite to wreak havoc again.
Despite a contingent of AEW babyfaces standing guard outside the arena to fend them off, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta snuck into the ring to take out Daniel Garcia and Private Party.
Afterward, Jon Moxley tossed a retired Chuck Taylor into the ring. However, just before Orange Cassidy could save his long-time friend, The Swiss Cyborg delivered a stomp on Taylor's neck after wrapping a steel chair around it.
