Jon Moxley's Full Gear opponent announced, 'AEW's future depends on the outcome'

Current AEW World Champion Jon Moxley's next challenger has been announced for the upcoming Full Gear pay-per-view. The match was made official after the events on Dynamite this week.

Jon Moxley became a four-time AEW World Champion by defeating Bryan Danielson at the recent WrestleDream pay-per-view. Since winning the title, Moxley has been hiding the belt in a bag, not worried about his next challenger. This week on Dynamite, Orange Cassidy came out and challenged Moxley.

Cassidy and multiple babyface factions have been feuding with The Deathrider and the BCC for weeks. Last week on Dynamite, Moxley and company took out Cassidy's best friend, Chuck Taylor, with a steel chair on his neck. The attack on Taylor led Orange Cassidy to finally lay out a challenge for Moxley.

After Cassidy's challenge, Moxley and the BCC came out to the ring, and The four-time AEW World Champion accepted The Freshly Squeezed's challenge. BCC also lured Cassidy to the ring by attempting to attack Wheeler Yuta, as Cassidy came out and took a beating by the Blackpool Combat Club.

Meanwhile, after the challenge was made and accepted, the official 'X' social media handle of All Elite Wrestling shared the graphic for the AEW World title match between Cassidy and Moxley for Full Gear, also stating that the future of the promotion hinges on the outcome of the match.

"#AEWFullGear Saturday, Nov. 23 LIVE on PPV @prucenter | Newark, NJ #AEW World Championship! Jon Moxley (c) vs. Orange Cassidy It's OFFICIAL! AEW World Champion @JonMoxley faces @orangecassidy with not only the title on the line, but the future of AEW hinging on the outcome!" the announcement noted.

Jon Moxley and his group retreated after the chaos

As mentioned earlier, Jon Moxley and BCC lured Orange Cassidy to the ring and assaulted him before Dark Order and Top Flight showed up.

Later, Darby Allin surprised everyone by showing up through the rafters and taking out the members of the BCC. The chaos eventually forced Moxley and company to retreat from the arena.

Moreover, the story keeps getting intriguing, with Darby Allin joining the fray now. Only time will tell if Orange Cassidy manages to capture the AEW World Title from Moxley.
