Jon Moxley’s opponent for AEW WrestleDream 2024 officially confirmed
The latest episode of AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam revealed Jon Moxley's opponent for WrestleDream 2024. The talent in question is none other than Bryan Danielson.
During their face-to-face encounter sometime earlier, The Purveyor of Violence asked Darby Allin to relinquish his AEW World Title shot, days after betraying and assaulting his long-time ally Bryan Danielson at All Out. Allin refused to do so, which led to him and Moxley deciding to fight over his championship opportunity at Dynamite: Grand Slam.
The two men clashed in an extremely brutal matchup in the Arthur Ashe Stadium at Grand Slam. The bout featured a number of spots allowing Allin and Moxley to showcase their hard-hitting and violent style of wrestling, including one where the former TNT Champion missed Moxley and dove onto exposed concrete outside the ring - after which the latter tossed Allin back first into the ringside steel steps.
Ultimately, courtesy of an assist from Marina Shafir, Moxley delivered an avalanche Death Rider on Allin to pick up the win and become the number one contender for the AEW World Championship for WrestleDream 2024.
His celebration would not last long, however, as Bryan Danielson attacked Moxley from behind, seeking retaliation for All Out 2024.
