Jon Moxley's performance on AEW Dynamite Holiday Bash signals fate at Worlds End

The AEW World Championship will be on the line in a four-way match at the upcoming Worlds End pay-per-view. Jon Moxley, who currently holds the belt, may have given us a preview of how the title bout may go down later this month through his performance on Dynamite: Holiday Bash this week.

In the main event of the December 18 edition of AEW Dynamite, The Death Riders, represented by Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, and PAC, took on the three men set to challenge The One True King for his title at Worlds End - Orange Cassidy, Jay White and Adam Page - in trios action. The tone for the match had been set towards the start of the episode when The Hangman told his partners that his sole focus in the bout would be Moxley.

The Death Riders took full advantage of the dysfunction between the World Championship contenders throughout the match, especially after Page walked out on his partners due to his conflict with White. The Switchblade and Cassidy refused to succumb to the heel faction's superior teamwork, and the two men attempted to mount a defense despite the numbers' disadvantage.

The Cowboy did eventually return to the match to ambush Moxley, but another argument broke out between Page and White near the end of the bout, opening the door for The Purveyor of Violence to roll up OC to pick up the victory.

Afterward, Moxley and company tried to attack their opponents again, but the latter rallied and fended off the assault, sending Mox and Marina Shafir on retreat.

The conclusion of the main event of Dynamite may have foreshadowed the ending of the imminent AEW World Title match scheduled for Worlds End, where Moxley might again take advantage of the mutual hatred between his opponents and of the four-way stipulation to retain his belt.
