Jon Moxley slams AEW locker room for neglecting responsibility; expresses frustration
AEW star Jon Moxley has been on a mission to reset the promotion since. Since September, The Puryevor of Violence has been trying to tame the roster and become the center of the company.
Jon Moxley and his faction, The Death Riders, engaged in feuds with Private Party, Top Flight, Dark Order, and many other AEW stars. He has been targeting unmotivated stars who haven't improved with time and simply collecting paychecks from Tony Khan. He will be facing Orange Cassidy at the Full Gear pay-per-view with the World Title on the line.
Speaking with CBS Sports, the reigning AEW World Champion claimed that he had a vision for AEW but it was difficult to pursue it as the roster was unmotivated to move forward.
"I had a vision. A vision of a future. A vision that could be ours. That it could belong to everybody. A vision of a world where everyone can be successful [...] One thing I found challenging in the previous iteration of AEW was, I found it challenging to find anyone who would take responsibility for anything. 'It's not my fault' was a thing that would be heard bouncing around the hallways of AEW quite ubiquitously," he said. [H/T - Fightful]
Jon Moxley brutally assaulted Orange Cassidy on Dynamite
Orange Cassidy faced Death Riders' Wheeler Yuta on a recent edition of Dynamite. After a vicious contest between the both, Cassidy picked up the victory via roll-up.
Following the match, the rest of The Death Riders marched to the ring and assaulted him. The faction tied his hands with duct tape and punched him. After Moxley was heading back, Orange Cassidy stood up despite the ambush.
It will be interesting to see if Cassidy can take down Jon Moxley and his dominant reign at Full Gear.
