Keith Lee drops promising return teaser amidst AEW hiatus
AEW's Keith Lee has been missing from the squared circle since December last year. The 40-year-old star recently shared an optimistic social media post, potentially teasing an in-ring comeback somewhere down the line.
Keith Lee is widely considered to be one of the most spectacular pro wrestlers in the world, courtesy of his ability to blend his power and size with his remarkable agility. The Limitless One has impressed fans across promotions like PWG, ROH, and WWE, before making his All Elite debut in 2022.
While he did work with a number of top and aspiring talent, many feel that the highlight of Lee's run in the Tony Khan-led company was his rivalry with Swerve Strickland. The duo held the AEW World Tag Team Titles together before their partnership dissolved, leading to The New Flavor turning on Lee in late 2022.
The former Bearcat competed on All Elite programming throughout 2023 and was scheduled to finally take on Swerve at Worlds End last year, but unfortunately, he had to be pulled out of the event due to undisclosed health issues, following which he reportedly even underwent surgeries. Amidst his ongoing hiatus, Keith Lee took to X/Twitter earlier today and penned a hopeful message for 2025, possibly hinting at his return to the ring at some point in the future.
"One way or another.... 2025 will be one for the books. Let us all go out of our way to ensure this for ourselves yeah? Go forth. May the force be with you," Lee wrote.

Latest on AEW star Keith Lee's in-ring status
Keith Lee's career continues to be a frequent topic of discussion in the pro wrestling world as fans eagerly await the former NXT Champion's comeback. The 6 ft 2 in powerhouse has, in turn, been frank in expressing his gratitude towards his admirers and viewers for their encouragement and support.
Although speculations abound regarding the nature of Lee's current hiatus, Sean Ross Sapp, of Fightful, clarified late last month that the AEW star, as per his inquiries, had simply not been cleared for active competition.
“The last time I asked was early fall, and he was not clear, unfortunately. It’s not any other situation except for him not being cleared.” [H/T - Ringside News]
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Keith Lee in All Elite Wrestling.
