Kenny Omega reveals little-known details about match against popular star amid AEW absence

Former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega recently recalled his match against a popular star. The two locked horns nearly seven years ago.

The popular star in question is Juice Robinson. He has been a member of the AEW roster since 2022 and is currently part of a team named Bang Bang Gang alongside The Gunns. Robinson is also known for his time in WWE and New Japan Pro-Wrestling. A fan recently posted a video of the 35-year-old's match with Kenny Omega from NJPW.

Omega has been out of action due to a serious medical condition for the past several months. Amid his absence from TV, The Cleaner noticed the abovementioned video of his bout against Juice Robinson on X/Twitter. The Best Bout Machine reacted to it by sharing little-known details about the contest.

"There is a very personal story surrounding this match that I’d love to tell but character count wouldn’t allow for it or do it justice here. Aside from all that, Juice took me to the absolute limit and this became the first time I had no choice but to use a Super OWA to get the job done. Juice ain’t no joke and he’d eventually solidify himself as a worthy US Champ himself after this," Omega wrote.

Kenny Omega recently provided a subtle health update

Kenny Omega has been out of action for over nine months due to diverticulitis. He recently underwent surgery and is on the road to recovery.

On X/Twitter, Omega recently promoted an upcoming video game featuring AEW star Samoa Joe. The Cleaner also revealed that he was not yet medically cleared.

"Joe’s gonna kill you - but hopefully not me - I’m not medically cleared! #RGGSummit2024 @SamoaJoe," Omega wrote.

Only time will tell when The Best Bout Machine will finally be cleared for in-ring competition. Fans are eagerly waiting to see him back in action.
