Kenny Omega spotted during his long AEW hiatus
Kenny Omega has been out of action for months now. Amidst his long hiatus, he has been spotted making appearances in Japan.
The last time Omega fought inside the squared circle was during the December 5 edition of Collision, where he defeated Ethan Page in a singles match. Soon after that, he had to undergo a hiatus as he was diagnosed with a life-threatening condition of diverticulitis.
The Cleaner returned to AEW TV on Dynamite in May to inform his fans how lucky he was that the doctors diagnosed his illness in time, otherwise, he wouldn't have been alive. He promised his fans that he would be back no matter how long it took him to get better. Plus, he went under the knife in August following which he started light training but wasn't in any shape to return.
Kenny Omega recently took to X/Twitter and posted a photo of himself visiting the SNK office in Japan. For those who don't know, he is a huge fan of video games.
"Thank you to @SNKPofficial for the tour in Japan," he tweeted along with the photo.
Massive hint at Kenny Omega's AEW return
So far, there has been no news about when fans can expect Kenny Omega to return to the ring. However, a recent report from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio stated that The Best Bout Machine would return around the same time as Kota Ibushi.
A day ago, Ibushi took to his Instagram account to share a photo of himself and Omega in a training center. He even teased a return to the ring soon.
"World domination is just days away!! Had a golden practice after a long time. We are still far from done! Next AEW!!!" Ibushi wrote.
This has led fans to speculate that the two long-time friends will make their comeback rather soon. It would be interesting to see when they will be back.
