Konnan alleges popular AEW couple have separated: "She's unhinged"

Wrestling legend, Konnan, recently revealed a source's claim that a popular AEW couple had broken up. The stars in question are Dr. Britt Baker and Adam Cole.

Cole signed with AEW back in 2021, joining his longtime girlfriend, Britt Baker, who was one of the promotion's foundational talents. Baker returned from a long hiatus at this year's Double or Nothing pay-per-view, but she's had a difficult time readjusting and lost her bid for Mercedes Mone's TBS Championship at All In, London.

Cole is still out of action after suffering a foot injury late last year, although recent reports indicate that he could be close to a return. However, things may be different when he comes back, as he and Baker have broken off their relationship, or so Konnan claims to have heard.

The 60-year-old legend claimed on a recent episode of Keepin' It 100 that a source seemingly informed him of Baker and Cole's separation. While discussing The Doctor's alleged backstage heat in AEW, Konnan revealed what his unnamed source had texted him:

"This I didn't even know; this was thrown in there: [Baker is] no longer with Cole," said Konnan. "And this is what the person put at the end: 'He's better off, she's unhinged.'" [3:10 - 3:27]

Tony Khan comments on Britt Baker's position in AEW

There have been questions swirling around Dr. Britt Baker's status in All Elite Wrestling lately. While the former AEW Women's World Champion received a great reaction on her return, speculation regarding backstage heat—and now her relationship status—has taken the spotlight.

Baker was not on the card for All Out 2024, and it's currently unclear what Tony Khan's plans for the 33-year-old are. At the PPV post-show media scrum, The All Elite Wrestling Chief addressed her status:

"Dr. Britt Baker is an important part of the roster and something to keep an eye on when we see from Dr. Britt Baker, and when we'll hear from her and what we'll see next."

The Doctor is an important part of All Elite Wrestling's women's division and is seen by many as its first real star. Whether she can get back on track in the near future remains to be seen.
