Konnan claims Britt Baker was responsible for top WWE Superstar's shocking AEW exit

Konnan made a serious claim about former AEW Women's World Champion Britt Baker. He claimed she was responsible for a top WWE star's shocking exit from the Jacksonville-based promotion.

Brandi Rhodes joined AEW along with Cody Rhodes and was instrumental in building the company's women's division during its early days. During this time, she also played an onscreen role where she was the manager of Awesome Kong. She even competed in a few matches for the promotion.

Despite her role in the company, Brandi stopped coming to the shows and no longer made onscreen appearances until her shocking departure from the company along with Cody Rhodes in 2022.

Speaking on his Keepin' It 100 podcast, Konnan claimed that Britt Baker and Brandi Rhodes had some problems back in the day, which was the reason Cody Rhodes left the company. He also added that Tony Khan always took Baker's side.

"One of the reasons that Cody left amongst many was there was problems between Brandi and Britt....Tony always takes her side....you'll find out one day." [12:27 - 12:38]

Sam Roberts commented on Britt Baker and MJF's backstage fight

A couple of weeks ago, Britt Baker got into a backstage confrontation with MJF after she made some comments about him in the women's locker room. Friedman was informed of these comments by his girlfriend, Alicia Atout, resulting in the confrontation. As a result, Baker was suspended from the company for two weeks. Since the incident, many people have given their thoughts on the situation.

Speaking on his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts mentioned that such incidents weren't good for the business and the company.

"It doesn't make me happy when I read stories like 'oh, you know two of the talent at AEW got into a backstage squabble and one of them got suspended' and it's like all that stuff is not good for business. It's not good for the business of AEW. It's not good for the business of professional wrestling." [46:00 - 46:18]

Britt Baker is set to take on Mercedes Mone for the TBS Championship at All In on August 25.
