Konnan confirms the real identity of Hologram in AEW
Wrestling veteran Konnan recently validated AEW star Hologram's real identity. The star has been the highlight of Collision for several weeks now, and his athleticism has caught many eyes since his debut.
The 25-year-old star has been signed with AEW since February 2024 and arrived in the Jacksonville-based promotion on the July 20 episode of Collision. Following his debut, he also scored a victory over Gringo Loco and The Beast Mortos. Most recently, on the latest edition of Collision, he teamed up with Mistico to defeat The Premier Athletes (Ariya Daivari & Tony Nese).
Days after the young star's debut, a report was released stating that Tony Khan had long wanted to introduce his own built Luchador in AEW. Also, a report claimed that the man behind the mask was Aramis.
Speaking on Keeping It 100 OFFICIAL, Konnan confirmed that Hologram is a former AAA star named Aramis.
"I thought the gimmick was a little cheesy. Let me pop on the particle and QR code and don't forget their older uncle barcode. (...) Hologram is one of my boys from AAA that I helped cultivate, he wrestled by the name of Aramis. We had so much talent when he was there, that he was actually in the holding pattern. But this kid could definitely go. With everybody that goes there, soon he will be just another guy," he said. (00:25 - 01:05)
Ricochet confirms he is not Hologram
The former Intercontinental Champion has exited WWE and is currently a free agent. As the vignettes and teasers showed up during Collision, many speculated Ricochet must have signed with AEW and debuted under the mask.
The One and Only recently took to X/Twitter and cleared the rumors of him being Hologram.
"Everyone, unless I got major tattoo removal and lost a couple inches (please, I can't lose any more height, haha). This isn't me [laughing emoji] Shout out to them tho. They were killing it! [fire emoji x 2]," Ricochet wrote.
It remains to be seen what is next for the 25-year-old star, as he has been undefeated in AEW.
