Konnan shares blunt opinion on top AEW star after he turns down WWE's offer - "He doesn't have that X-factor"
WCW veteran Konnan believes AEW star Daniel Garcia doesn't have the X-factor. The former ROH Pure Champion reportedly rejected WWE's offer to stay with the Tony Khan-led promotion.
Speculations about Daniel Garcia's future have been a hot topic for the past few months. WWE was also reportedly high on signing the 25-year-old to the promotion. However, the most recent AEW Dynamite might have given us the answer about Garcia's future. On Dynamite Title Tuesday, Daniel Garcia cut a passionate promo and seemingly confirmed that he's staying with Tony Khan's promotion.
On his Keepin'It 100 podcast, Konnan spoke about Daniel Garcia staying with All Elite Wrestling. The veteran claimed that Garcia's promo wasn't believable and he didn't come off as a star. He said Tony Khan probably paid the 25-year-old a lot of money to prevent him from moving to WWE.
"The thing is he came out there and he's like, 'Oh, I'm coming out there, you deserve to know what my decision is'. People like him though and he's like, 'You deserve it'. It's like yeah I know dude I don't think you were gonna come on TV to say you were quitting. I mean anything could happen in wrestling but he goes, 'I'm staying with AEW where the best wrestles and all this' and he just doesn't come off as a star bro. He doesn't have that X-factor you know what I'm saying? But, probably Tony [Khan] paid him a lot of money to stay and It's another guy that didn't go to WWE." [From 15:15 to 15:50]

Bully Ray reveals how Daniel Garcia's AEW Dynamite segment should have been booked
Former ROH Pure Champion Daniel Garcia seemingly confirmed on AEW Dynamite that he was staying with the Tony Khan-led promotion. However, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray believes something was missing from the segment.
In a recent chat on the Busted Open podcast, Ray explained how if he was in Daniel Garcia's position, he would have walked out with the contract WWE offered him and cut a promo on why he's rejecting that contract to stay with All Elite Wrestling.
"If I'm Daniel Garcia, I'm walking out to that ring with a manila envelope... And I start to talk about the contract that I have in my hand. And then I would tell the people, 'This is not an [All Elite Wrestling] contract. This is a contract from another wrestling company. And I think you all know what wrestling company this contract is from. And the numbers on this contract [are] almost double than what was offered to me by Tony Khan and [All Elite Wrestling].' [...] This is coming off the top of my head, because this is so easy... And then Daniel Garcia says, 'I'm staying with AEW.'" .
We will have to wait and see what's in store for Daniel Garcia in All Elite Wrestling.
