Konnan thinks Seth Rollins will face 3-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania 40

WCW veteran Konnan recently discussed the possibility of Seth Rollins facing a specific multi-time world champion at the biggest stage of them all, WrestleMania 40. The star in question was CM Punk.

There has been speculation that the Straight Edge Superstar could head to WWE. However, there have been no reports about the promotion seriously considering the move following Punk's release from AEW last month. Many have made their guesses on when he could return, and a prominent one was him winning the Royal Rumble and challenging Seth Rollins at WrestleMania.

On the Keepin' It 100 podcast, Konnan discussed whether Seth Rollins would be willing to go through with the match. He figured he would be willing, seeing as there have been hints in his promos and Corey Graves' recent use of the iconic phrase from Punk's ROH promo in 2005.

"You think that Rollins wouldn't wrestle Punk? I think he would. 'Cause, first of all, he wouldn't be saying those lines about him in his promos if he had heat with him. He's actually saying lines that Punk said before. There's no reason, you know, Corey Graves made a, you know, "The biggest trick the devil ever did is that he didn't exist," you know, Punk actually said that."

The veteran says that it may not be simply a coincidence of these uses of lines from their past promos, and it could be a tease that the match could be possible along the road.

"Rollins, you know, there's like three lines that he said in Ring of Honor in-ring that they're actually using on TV. That can't be a coincidence, and if Rollins is saying it, that means he's cool with it. So, I think we will see Rollins against Punk," Konnan said. [2:18-2:55]

Seth Rollins to defend his title against Shinsuke Nakamura for the second week in a row

WWE Supershow will be at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City tomorrow. This show has been highly anticipated, as it features the first title defense match that Roman Reigns would have since SummerSlam this year.

Aside from the Tribal Chief putting his title on the line, several other stars, including Seth Rollins, will have title matches that night. Following a gruesome Last Man Standing match at Fastlane last weekend, The Visionary was revealed to be putting his title match against Shinsuke Nakamura again.

With Seth Rollins having incredible momentum as a fighting champion as of late, he seems to have the upper hand heading into this match tomorrow night.
