Kurt Angle says major AEW star can have a "five-star match" with anybody
Kurt Angle made headlines in the last few days after stating that he could return to WWE as a manager. The veteran recently praised a major AEW star, saying this wrestler can have a great match with anybody.
The wrestler in question is Kenny Omega. He is one of the best professional wrestlers in the world and has been captivating audiences for years. He made a name for himself in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, where he quickly became known as the Best Bout Machine due to his legendary feud with Kazuchika Okada and others.
After finishing up in Japan, he moved to the United States and helped start AEW with The Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes. Since then, he has continued his amazing performances in the ring and has garnered critical acclaim.
Kurt Angle was all praise for Kenny Omega during a recent virtual signing with K&S WrestleFest. He mentioned that The Cleaner could have a "five-star match" with anyone. He also praised one of Omega's matches against Will Ospreay.
"I love Kenny Omega, I think he’s a great talent. He can have a five-star match with just about anybody, the kid’s really well-versed. I didn’t know about his injuries but man, I saw the one match with him and [Will Ospreay]. That was a match to remember. They really lit it up that night."
Omega is currently out of action as he is suffering from diverticulitis. He last competed on the December 5, 2023, edition of Collision, where he defeated Ethan Page. The former AEW World Champion returned to Dynamite earlier this year and revealed that he would require surgery in the future.
Kurt Angle says Roman Reigns was pushed too early in his career
Right from his WWE debut, it was clear that Roman Reigns was The Shield's golden goose. The company also tried its best to push him early on as a babyface but fans rejected him. However, it was his transformation as The Tribal Chief that got the fans behind him and made him one of the biggest stars in the company.
During the same K&S WrestleFest event, Kurt Angle mentioned that WWE tried to push Reigns too early and fans didn't accept him but he has proven himself to be one of the best.
"Roman Reigns. I’m not gonna lie to you, the kid’s been on fire. I will say this – he earned every bit that he’s gotten. I do believe the company pushed him a little too early and the fans didn’t wanna accept that, but he’s followed through. He’s proven that he’s one of the best in the world right now," Kurt Angle said.
Roman Reigns will team up with Cody Rhodes to face Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at WWE Bad Blood next month.
