Legendary former WWE figure officially receives an offer to come to AEW
A legendary former WWE official has received an offer on social media to come to AEW. The personality in question is Jimmy Korderas, who was invited to show up in the promotion by QT Marshall.
All Elite Wrestling has been a frequent target of criticism for presenting violent and high-risk spots in many of the matches it presents. In the latest instance, fans and several industry experts called out the Tony Khan-led company for a brutal chair shot to the head delivered by Mark Briscoe to Jack Perry during the 2024 Blood and Guts match last week on Dynamite. While it was reported that the chair was designed to ensure The Scapegoat's physical safety during the spot, many have argued that the risks associated with a chair shot to the head cannot be fully mitigated.
One of these voices was the veteran referee and WWE legend Jimmy Korderas, who shared a video on X/Twitter claiming that folded steel chairs could not be "gimmicked" to protect talent. However, his assertion was countered by AEW figure and former in-ring talent QT Marshall, who called out Korderas for his supposed ignorance and invited the latter to come to All Elite Wrestling for a demonstration of how the promotion takes care of the well-being of its wrestlers.
"You have zero clue what you're speaking of. If you would like, you can come to @aew and we can show you what we do to protect the talent. Or you can continue to be ignorant. Take your pick," qt marshallwrote Marshall.

Marshall left All Elite Wrestling last year and returned earlier this year as Vice President of Show and Creative Coordination.
Matt Hardy commented on the chair spot from AEW Blood and Guts
Matt Hardy was among many industry veterans who reacted to the steel chair spot involving Mark Briscoe and Jack Perry at Blood and Guts 2024.
Speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, The Broken One claimed that the Jacksonville-based promotion had been firmly against unprotected chair shots in the past and speculated on the possible reasons behind the spot being approved.
"I guess it kind of depends on what perception AEW is trying to project because I know there has been like ... they've been very adamant about not doing unprotected chair shots in the past, and apparently this one was green-lit and cleared for whatever reason. Maybe because it was a big match or the drama, I don't know," said Hardy.
It remains to be seen how The Elite will respond to its loss to Team AEW on the upcoming episode of Dynamite.
