"Let me speak to my best friend, Tony Khan" - AEW star responds after recent threat

An AEW star was recently issued a major challenge from a well-known social media personality. The star in question has now responded to the aforementioned challenge and claimed that he will speak to Tony Khan about it.

QT Marshall was associated with All Elite Wrestling since its inception in 2019. Even though he departed from the promotion in 2023, the New Jersey native returned to the company earlier this year in his executive role as Vice President of Show and Creative Coordination.

Courtesy of his present deal with AEW, Marshall is able to wrestle prominently in the indie circuit, and recently attempted to defend the CCW World Heavyweight Championship at CCW Bash At The Brew 45. The 39-year-old star lost the title to Meto at the event, owing to interference from viral TikTok personality, A.J. Befumo, of the Costco Guys. The latter had revealed earlier this month that he had signed a one-match agreement with AEW, and more recently, he called out QT Marshall to face him at the upcoming Full Gear Pay-Per-View.

Taking to X/Twitter, Marshall replied to Befumo's challenge by stating that he would share his response at a later time. The 39-year-old star also revealed that he would talk to Tony Khan, presumably about a match against Befumo at the Full Gear 2024 Pay-Per-View.

"I'll respond when the time is right! Let me speak to my best friend, @TonyKhan @AEW," QT Marshall shared.

QT Marshall and AEW President Tony Khan don't agree on "wrestling stuff"

Despite working in All Elite Wrestling in an executive capacity, QT Marshall has not competed in an AEW ring for quite some time now. During a recent interview with Gabby AF, the 39-year-old star revealed the reason behind his television absence from the Jacksonville-based company:

"I don’t wrestle at [All Elite Wrestling] because we [me and Tony Khan] just never saw eye to eye on the wrestling stuff." [H/T 411Mania]

It remains to be seen whether Tony Khan will book Marshall to compete against A.J. Befumo at Full Gear 2024.
