Lucha Bros. member sends a cryptic post amid WWE rumors
A Lucha Bros. member shared a cryptic message amidst the rumors of the team heading to WWE. The message seemed to be aimed at Tony Khan's promotion.
The star in question is Rey Fenix. Earlier this year, it was reported that Penta El Zero Miedo and Fenix were on the way out of AEW for WWE once their contract with the Jacksonville-based company expired in August and September 2024. However, Tony Khan reportedly added injury time to Fenix's contract to delay the departure.
Meanwhile, Rey Fenix dropped a cryptic message that could be hinted towards Tony Khan. Fenix took to his X account to share a picture along with a message related to loyalty.
"Disloyal is who disappears when the road is dark; someone forgot me on the dark road, BUT NO YOU! That’s why I will always give you my maximum every night; you have changed my life and the lives of my loved ones," he wrote.
Wrestling veteran urges Tony Khan to use Lucha Bros. amid WWE rumors
If the reports about Tony Khan putting injury time on the Lucha Bros. contract are to be believed, Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix still have time before they eventually depart the Jacksonville-based promotion.
Speaking on his K100 OFFICIAL podcast recently, wrestling veteran Konnan urged Khan to use Penta and Fenix on AEW TV.
"You have no idea how many complaints I hear about that, and I'll give you one good example. Have you seen Pentagon and [Rey] Fenix like in the last month or so? They're still getting paid, bro. If you're gonna pay them that type of money, use them on the way out to put people over," he said.
The Lucha Brothers are yet to announce their departure from AEW amid WWE rumors, and only time will tell what the future has in store for the duo.
