Major AEW star says she is not cleared for in-ring return: "STOP LYING ABOUT MY HEALTH"
A former AEW Women's World Champion took to social media to clarify her current health status. This comes amidst reports claiming that she was now cleared to return to in-ring action.
Thunder Rosa has not been seen in the Jacksonville-based promotion for almost a month. She was last seen participating in a four-way match on Collision to determine who would face Mercedes Moné for the TBS Championship at AEW All Out. La Mera Mera has been out due to a concussion, but it was not disclosed when she specifically sustained the injury.
On X (fka Twitter), Thunder Rosa responded to recent reports stating that she was cleared for action. It was further reported that she was even spotted throwing out the first pitch for the San Diego Padres game this past week. Rosa clarified that these reports were false and that she was not medically cleared to compete. She also noted that information regarding her health should come directly from her.
"STOP LYING ABOUT MY HEALTH. I’m NOT CLEARED AND WHEN I AM I WILL ANNOUNCE IT. I reserve the right to divulge my medical status. If you need information ask me directly or my team…." said Rosa.

The AEW star urged her peers not to get in a ring if they felt concussion-like symptoms
Almost two weeks ago on the Busted Open Radio, Thunder Rosa talked about concussions. She made a plea to her fellow wrestlers not to get in the ring if they felt like they might have sustained a concussion.
She was speaking from experience as she revealed at the time that she was suffering from one as well. She also said that her condition would put her out of action for at least a few weeks. No information has been disclosed regarding the nature of the injury and when she sustained the same.
"If you feel like you have a concussion, make sure you stop. Don't get in there. It's not worth it. I can tell you... right now, I'm suffering a concussion. So I'm gonna be out for a little bit, for a couple weeks," she said. [H/T: Drainmaker on X]
Rosa joins the group of stars in the AEW women's division who are still out of action. The likes of Julia Hart, Skye Blue, and Riho are currently recuperating from injuries they sustained earlier in the year.
