Major AEW tag team to be inducted into Hall of Fame
AEW EVPs Nick and Matt Jackson (The Young Bucks) are set to get inducted into Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Hall of Fame. The Young Bucks are currently on a hiatus from All Elite Wrestling.
Nick and Matt Jackson are former AEW World Tag Team Champions and are considered one of the best tag teams in professional wrestling. The duo has found success in major wrestling promotions like TNA, Ring of Honor, NJPW, and more. The Young Bucks also reportedly had some chances to ink a deal with WWE before All Elite Wrestling came onto the scene.
In the recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the Hall of Fame class of this year was revealed. WWE star Roman Reigns alongside The Young Bucks and other talents from professional wrestling were included in the class.
AEW star Kenny Omega has unfinished business with The Young Bucks
The Cleaner has been out of action since last December due to Diverticulitis. Kenny Omega had surgery earlier this year and is training to get back into the squared circle. The veteran could return to action next year at Wrestle Dynasty and Wrestle Kingdom in January 2025.
Kenny Omega's last AEW appearance saw him on the verge of a beatdown at the hands of The Elite. Nick and Matt Jackson (The Young Bucks), Kazuchika Okada, and Jack Perry launched a shocking attack on their former friend which led to Omega being stretchered out of the arena. In a recent chat on the NJPW YouTube channel, Kenny Omega sent a warning to The Elite by stating that he's got unfinished business with the faction.:
We’ve got a lot of unfinished business. I’ve got unfinished business with the Bucks, I’ve got unfinished business with Jack Perry. I’ve got unfinished business with Okada, clearly." [H/T Fightful]
The Young Bucks are rumored to return to All Elite Wrestling as babyfaces. It will be interesting to see how things play out once Young Bucks and Kenny Omega return to All Elite Wrestling programming.
