Major announcement made regarding Chris Jericho
Chris Jericho is entering his 34th year as a pro wrestler. The AEW veteran continues to be one of the biggest names in the business, and his latest announcement is another blockbuster for fans and colleagues.
AEW will return to Wembley Stadium in London, England, on Sunday, August 25 for the second annual All In event. While no matches have been announced, several stars are being advertised in addition to the current FTW Champion. Swerve Strickland, Toni Storm, Bryan Danielson, Adam Copeland, The Young Bucks, Will Ospreay, and Mercedes Moné will likely feature on the show.
Jericho's heavy metal band, Fozzy, is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary. The wrestling legend announced today that the band will return to London on the Friday of All In weekend for a show at O2 Forum in Kentish Town.
The Learning Tree has announced two special guests to open the show — Strickland and Flash Garments, the rapper behind the "Big Pressure" theme song used by the current AEW World Champion.
"London, we’re ready to rock the house with you again and we can’t wait for you to join us. Who’s coming?! [sign of the horns emoji] #FOZZYALLINALLNIGHT," Fozzy wrote in an Instagram post's caption.
The 2023 All In pay-per-view saw Flash Garments and DJ Whoo Kid play Strickland to the ring for the Coffin Match that he and Christian Cage lost to Sting and Darby Allin. The AEW World Champion is a member of the Swerve City hip-hop group, performing as Swerve The Realest.
What will Chris Jericho do at AEW Double or Nothing?
Chris Jericho is set to defend his FTW Championship at the sixth annual AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view on Sunday.
Jericho won the title from Hook at the inaugural Dynasty event last month, and new details just surfaced on how the pro wrestling mastermind went into the match.
The Learning Tree's next challenger will be determined on this week's Dynamite in a Three-Way Eliminator bout. Hook, Bryan Keith, and Katsuyori Shibata will lock horns for a shot at the gold. AEW has announced that Chris Jericho will be on commentary for the match.
The three talents in the Eliminator had to qualify for the opportunity. Saturday's Collision saw Shibata defeat Rocky Romero, while Keith defeated Beefcake Boulder, and Hook beat Johnny TV to qualify.
