Major fight breaks out backstage between two AEW stars while Dynamite was on the air

A backstage brawl between two bitter rivals occurred during the middle of AEW Dynamite: Blood and Guts. This would be Kris Statlander blindsiding her former best friend, Willow Nightingale, while she was being interviewed backstage.

Willow has arguably had one of the best years so far. She captured the TBS Championship at AEW Dynasty back in April and the CMLL World Women's title a few weeks ago. She was also a finalist in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

However, she lost something this year, and this was her former best friend. Kris Statlander betrayed her after she dropped the TBS Championship to Mercedes Moné at AEW Double or Nothing.

Tonight, Willow Nightingale was in high spirits, with this being her first appearance since capturing the CMLL World Women's Championship, but before she could say anything, Statlander blindsided her and tossed her rib-first into the storage containers backstage.

Statlander, along with her manager Stokely Hathaway, then hinted at their next target, which was the belt that Willow now possessed. It is safe to say that this feud is not over.

The duo then floated the idea of an eliminator match for the title, and it remains to be seen what the champion will say about this when she returns to her senses.
