Major hint at The Hurt Syndicate recruiting former WWE star in AEW
AEW's The Hurt Syndicate is open to recruiting new stars to their faction. Bobby Lashley was recently seen interacting with former WWE Superstar Ricochet which could be a hint about The One and Only possibly joining the faction.
MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin are a part of The Hurt Syndicate in AEW. MVP has handed his business card to stars like Lio Rush, Max Bowens, and more since moving to the Jacksonville-based promotion. There have been hints about Ricochet potentially joining the faction and it could turn into reality in the coming weeks.
During last night's fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, many top stars like All Elite Wrestling's Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, MVP, and Ricochet were in attendance. A fan shared the video of the aftermath of the fight from the VIP suite where The Hurt Syndicate's Lashley was seen approaching and shaking hands with Ricochet.
AEW star Shelton Benjamin opens up about his WWE run
The Hurt Syndicate's Shelton Benjamin is considered one of the best talents in professional wrestling. Many call him underutilized due to how he was booked in WWE. The Gold Standard was released by the Stamford-based company last year and recently inked a deal with All Elite Wrestling.
In a recent appearance on Close Up with Renee Paquette, Shelton Benjamin claimed that he's able to perform more freely in All Elite Wrestling compared to WWE.
"I definitely feel like I've been suppressed. You know, I have been to business for a little bit so I have done a few things. Yeah, I've definitely felt like here in AEW, I had the opportunity to show fans who I really am, what I really can do. And not what was me doing what I had to do for the people I was working with previously. I really love that I can really be me in AEW," he said.
Shelton Benjamin has been getting praised for his recent matches. It will be interesting to see if The Hurt Syndicate member will win some gold in the coming months.
