Major Tony Khan decision "ruined" AEW WrestleDream, believes veteran; controversial spot blasted (Exclusive)

A veteran recently talked about the AEW WrestleDream 2024 Pay-Per-View, sharing his thoughts on the event. While the show was praise-worthy, legendary wrestling journalist Bill Apter thinks a single spot ruined the experience for him.

WrestleDream 2024 had a stacked card of matches, with some of its best talents battling it out in the ring. The match between Bryan Danielson, formerly known as Daniel Bryan, and Jon Moxley was especially entertaining to watch. After the bout, Wheeler Yuta was seen trying to choke out Bryan with a plastic bag, in a spot that did not go over too well with fans.

While speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's UnSKripted podcast, Bill Apter stated:

"For all the AEW doubters, this was a really, really good pay-per-view. Other than the end of Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson after the finish of Moxley using that plastic bag over Danielson's head, the rest of the show was really, really good. That ruined the end of it for me, but Mariah May and Willow Nightingale were excellent. The Three-way with Ricochet was excellent. They had some really, really good matches. People thought that Bobby Lashley was gonna show up on that, but he didn't." [3:40 - 4:29]
