Malakai Black, Dustin Rhodes, Taz, and other AEW stars react to the passing of Kevin Sullivan
The recent news of Kevin Sullivan's passing has immensely saddened the wrestling community. The Boston native was well respected by his peers, as well as many prominent wrestlers, who grew up watching him perform in the ring.
Sullivan's journey reportedly began in the early 1970s. In his long career, he was known by various names such as The Taskmaster, The Gamesmaster, The Great Wizard, The Boston Battler, Masked Lucifer, and more. Although he performed in several American promotions, he is best known for his time in World Championship Wrestling (WCW). Interestingly, he was married to Nancy Toffoloni from 1985, until their divorce in 1997. After Toffoloni's marriage ended with Sullivan, she married the infamous Chris Benoit, in the year 2000.
After his passing, tributes poured from all across the globe. Even many AEW/ex-AEW names posted about him on their social media handles, including legends such as Ric Flair, Jake "the Snake" Roberts, and more.

Throughout his career, Kevin Sullivan won numerous titles such as the NWA World Tag Team Championship, the NWA Florida Heavyweight Championship, the NWA Florida Tag Team Championship, the NWA Southern Heavyweight Championship, the ECW Tag Team Championship, the WCW World Tag Team Championship and more.
In a 1989 interview with The New York Times, he revealed that his favorite part of being a professional wrestler was the good money her got paid for his work.
"The money is better than in anything else I could do. I’ll tell you what I like the most about it. I get to live in a beach house in Daytona Beach, Florida, that’s completely paid for. Now, that’s nice." [H/T The Boston Globe]
