Mariah May breaks silence after Toni Storm's unforeseen AEW return

Mariah May is the reigning AEW Women's World Champion. She won the title by defeating "Timeless" Toni Storm at All In earlier this year. The Glamour has held the championship for more than 100 days already.

After Storm's defeat at the Wembley Stadium event, she took a break from AEW TV. However, this week on Dynamite: Winter is Coming, she made her anticipated return. Toni showed up after Mariah retained her title against Mina Shirakawa.

It appears like the Auckland-born star has dropped the memorable "Timeless" gimmick and revived her classic character, as Toni showed up in her old gear. After the 29-year-old's comeback, Mariah May was furious. The Fighting Princess later delivered an angry backstage promo, stating exactly what she felt about the situation.

"I don't give a f**k about Toni Storm. What happened to Toni is the same thing that happened to Mina, and exactly what is going to happen to Thunder Rosa. Every single woman I step in the ring with has the same hopes and dreams, and then they wish they were never born," May said.

Since Storm is finally back, fans may witness her in-ring battle with The Glamour soon.

Mariah May comments on Mercedes Mone's newsletter

Reigning AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone has a digital newsletter called Moné Mag, which is released weekly.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview with Renee Paquette, Mariah May revealed that the former Sasha Banks writes content for Mone Mag in her locker room. However, The Glamour questioned if anybody even cared about this newsletter.

"But no, she's sitting in her locker room, and she's writing her little Mone Mag. I mean, how many people are reading that magazine? Who actually cares about your magazine?" she said.

The reigning AEW Women's World Champion and The CEO have never met inside the squared circle. It will be interesting to see if they collide in the future.
