Mariah May claims 56-year-old veteran has retired from AEW

Mariah May attacked a 56-year-old veteran a few months ago. She has now claimed that he the said legend has retired from AEW for good.

Luther has been part of AEW for quite a long time. After spending several years in a tag team with Serpentico, the veteran found himself in a new role for the past year. He spent the better part of the past year being Toni Storm's personal butler.

As a result, Luther appeared alongside Toni Storm regularly on AEW TV. He would be part of her segments and would occasionally get involved in her matches as well.

However, Luther's role came to an abrupt end before All In as he was attacked by Mariah May when the latter betrayed Toni Storm. Since then, Luther has not been seen on AEW TV. Recently, he celebrated his 56th birthday. As a result, AEW wished him a happy birthday on social media. Mariah May responded to this message claiming that she retired him from the company.

"retired him, next."

Mariah May takes a shot at Mercedes Mone for walking around with two belts

Mariah May won the Owen Hart Foundation tournament which granted her a title shot against Toni Storm at AEW All In. At the PPV, she managed to defeat her former mentor and win the AEW Women's World Championship.

Another star in the All Elite women's division is Mercedes Mone who managed to win both the TBS and NJPW Strong Women's Championship this year. Given that she is a dual champion, The CEO walks around with two title belts which rubbed Mariah the wrong way.

During an interview on The Figure 4 podcast, Mariah called out Mercedes Mone for parading around with two title belts. She said that she could also do the same since she is the Owen Hart Foundation tournament winner.

"[Moné] knows where I am," May said. "I have another belt too, so if she wants to parade around with her two belts, I can get my own belt because she wasn't even in that. I won that [Owen Hart Foundation] Tournament. I can walk around with two belts. I'd love to hate you, Mercedes. I'd love to love you, Mercedes."

Based on their current trajectories, it is only a matter of time before Mercedes and Mariah collide in the ring.
