Mariah May finally comments on her shocking turn on AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm

The alliance between Mariah May and Toni Storm was one of the most captivating storylines in recent AEW history. Unfortunately, it came to a violent end after The Glamour brutally attacked the reigning AEW Women's World Champion during an episode of Dynamite earlier this month.

The two women are scheduled to lock horns for the AEW Women's World Title at All In 2024, which will take place at Wembley Stadium in London, England, on August 25, 2024.

Interestingly, in a recent conversation with Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture, the 25-year-old opened up about her bloody ambush on Storm. May said that almost every fan expected that to happen since the day she allied with the former NXT UK Women's Champion.

The 2024 Women's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament winner further claimed that Toni Storm still hadn't ''understood what happened!''

"Can you honestly tell me that you didn’t see it coming? I feel like from the moment I stepped in, everybody saw it coming. It was quite obvious what I wanted, but Toni didn’t. In fact, now, I still don’t think she quite understood what happened," May said. [H/T: WrestleTalk]

It will be interesting to see how the duo fare at All In.

Mariah May claims Toni Storm can only be defeated by "mental warfare!"

The Glamour was announced as the newest member of the Jacksonville-based promotion in November 2023. Following her arrival, she immediately became ''Timeless'' Toni Storm's understudy.

However, according to Mariah May, it was all part of a long-term plan. During the same conversation, the AEW star revealed that she understood early on that the ''real way to defeat Toni Storm" was ''mental warfare.''

"Everybody wanted to do the same old, ‘I’m here, and I’ve arrived, and I want a title shot,’ whereas I knew the real way to defeat Toni Storm isn’t physical warfare, it’s mental warfare,'' Mariah added. [H/T: WrestleTalk]

It will be interesting to see if Mariah May captures the Women's World Title at All In 2024.
