Mariah May survives a massive scare during brutal title match on AEW Collision
Mariah May has once again come out on top as the AEW Women's World Champion despite being in one of her more brutal matches to date. She took the win over Anna Jay.
Tonight on Collision, she put her title on the line in a no-disqualification match. Jay also added a stipulation, as she claimed that she would never challenge for the title should she lose this match.
Since becoming the champion at All In, The Glamour has been on a roll. She has defended her title five times to date. This would be her first title defense with a major stipulation, and it has arguably tested her the most.
Throughout the match, an endless number of foreign objects were utilized to dish out punishments, from chairs, tables, steel rails, trash cans, and even a crowbar. The match featured many hardcore spots and close calls.
In the end, the champion would reign supreme. Anna Jay wrapped a barbed wire on her arm as she locked in the Queenslayer hold. Out of desperation, Mariah May grabbed a can of what could have been hair spray, which forced Jay to let go of the hold. She then hit the Storm Zero for another impressive win.
Mina Shirakawa ran out post-match, and the two reunited to celebrate yet another successful title defense for Mariah May.
