Massive update on AEW star’s back injury

There is a massive update on an AEW star’s back injury and this could be good news for Tony Khan. The star could return soon.

AEW star The Blade has been missing in action since February and he revealed a few months back that he had to undergo back fusion surgery. He has since been recovering from it and is currently looking to return to action.

One of his former teammates and real-life wife, The Bunny aka Allie, has now given a positive update on his status. She spoke about The Blade during a virtual signing session with RDP Promotions when she said he was coping well and that he was focused on getting healthy.

"He’s hanging in. He just started his PT. His back surgery went really well. I’m really proud of him. He’s doing a ton of stand-up comedy right now. He’s really just focused on getting healthy," Allie said. [H/T Fightful]

Former AEW star The Bunny confirms career change

The Blade’s wife, Allie, left AEW in 2023 after a rather eventful few years in the company. While she was in the company, she was the manager of The Butcher and The Blade, while also having an in-ring role.

However, it looks like she has found a niche outside of wrestling after leaving AEW. She recently revealed that she is doing figure skating. She revealed this at at K&S WrestleFest virtual signing when she said:

"I’m figure skating right now and I’m loving it. I’m acting and I’m taking a little hiatus from breaking my body weekly… 19 years, I think I deserve a little break so, never say never but as of right now, I’m really enjoying my figure skating and acting. It’s very fun. But oh! And I have a project coming but I can’t talk about it yet but I do have a project coming which is very exciting. It’s horror-related."

While it is not yet known if this will be her new full-time career, it is interesting to see how flawlessly she has made the switch.
