Matt Hardy announces major appearance after AEW departure
Former WWE Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy announced an appearance on a wrestling promotion with his wife for a meet-and-greet event amid his recent departure from AEW.
Matt Hardy's contract with AEW was recently up, and he reportedly decided not to renew it. Later, he made his return to TNA at the recent Rebellion event with his "Broken" character. Nonetheless, Hardy later confirmed that he is still a free agent.
The former WWE United States Champion took to the 'X' social media platform to announce his next appearance on a different wrestling promotion. Matt announced that he would appear on the independent promotion, AML Wrestling, for a meet-and-greet event on Sunday.
Here is what Matt wrote in his post with a clip of him in his popular "Broken" gimmick:
"TOMORROW! Sunday, April 28th, myself, Queen Rebecca & The Gothic Baby will be appearing at @AMLWrestling. #HouseHardy will be meeting, greeting & DELETING everyone from 2pm-4pm at West Iredell HS in Statesville, NC. Be there early as it will be one of the largest crowds in AML history - WONDERFUL!"
Matt Hardy wants to reunite with his brother, Jeff Hardy
Although Matt Hardy has departed from AEW, his brother, Jeff Hardy, is still signed to the promotion.
Speaking on his Extreme Life podcast recently, Matt was asked whether he would like to join his brother, Jeff, in the next stage of his career or if he would rather do it solo. Matt said he'd love to join Jeff again:
"I would rather do it with Jeff. Because Jeff and I, we have all these appearances that we're doing together. So we're at our best when we're together. And I even think Jeff would admit that and say that as well. It's most beneficial for us when we're both together. So we shall see."
Only time will tell when fans will get to witness The Hardy Boyz's epic reunion and on which stage it will take place.
