Matt Hardy confirms he is still a free agent despite TNA return
Former AEW star Matt Hardy has been the talk of the town ever since his surprising return to TNA last night. However, the legend has provided an interesting update on his status with the promotion.
Last night at the TNA Rebellion pay-per-view event, Hardy was revealed as the man behind the Lights Out vignettes after the TNA World Title Match between Moose and Nick Nemeth. Hardy brought back his 'Broken' persona and took out Moose with a Twist of Fate. Hardy then set his sights on the TNA World Title which could mean that he's the next challenger for Moose.
Meanwhile, in a recent tweet on Twitter/X, The Broken One has seemingly confirmed that he has not inked a deal with TNA and is still a free agent.
"No. I’m a free agent. I will appear when I want to appear."
TNA's Matt Hardy explains why AEW has lost fans
Former AEW star Matt Hardy recently opened up about why the Jacksonville-based promotion has lost so many fans over the years. The veteran mentioned the CM Punk, The Elite, and Jack Perry drama as one of the major causes behind drifting the fans away from the product.
Speaking on his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, here is what the former WWE Superstar stated:
"I think through some of the stuff with Punk and The Bucks and the fights and the backstage stuff and Jungle Boy all this stuff, this hurt some of that goodwill. I feel like that probably deterred some people from their support of the company at the end of the day," Hardy said. [H/T - SEScoops]
The Broken One is seemingly once again a part of TNA and has possibly inserted himself to the main event scene. It will be interesting to see if his brother Jeff Hardy follows him to TNA after his contract with All Elite Wrestling expires.
