Matt Hardy raises concerns over AEW's shabby booking of popular star

WWE veteran Matt Hardy recently criticized AEW for not utilizing a fan-favorite star. The former left the Jacksonville-based promotion earlier this year and is part of TNA currently. He and his brother currently hold the TNA World Tag Team Championship. The star he believes is being underutilized is Danhausen.

The Kid Curious hasn't been seen on AEW TV since December 2023. He was involved in a battle royal at the Worlds End pay-per-view. Throughout his run, he was beloved by the fans despite not being given a top spot. His absence has been a mystery despite him being healthy and working independent dates.

While speaking on the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, the former WWE star questioned the promotion's decision to not put Danhausen on TV as he is a huge draw.

"Danhausen's a hustler too, man. Lots of love for him. He's a great entertainer. He's a great commodity. With Danhausen, there are so many different avenues you can take to put Danhausen on your TV program and get him over and make him sell tons of merchandise and make him a compelling part of your TV program. I don't know why they decided not to do that. Once again, I don't know the ins and outs of all the details," he said. [H/T - Wrestling Inc.]

Latest report on Danhausen amid his AEW hiatus

The Kid Curious has been absent from the Jacksonville-based promotion for more than 11 months and the company seemingly has no creative plans for him.

Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp recently reported that Danhausen and the company had talked in September but the star didn't hear about any creative plans for him.

"There had been some contact between AEW and Danhausen in September, but I've not heard of any creative plans. Ultimately, he works there. So if they tell him to come to work, he will. He's never said or implied otherwise," said Sean Ross Sapp.

It will be interesting to see when will the absent star return to the company.
