Matt Hardy shares the "hard truth" about The Young Bucks after leaving AEW
Former WWE Tag Team Champion, Matt Hardy admitted his honest thoughts about the current AEW World Tag Team champions, The Young Bucks. Matt's statement came after his recent departure from Tony Khan's promotion.
The Young Bucks have been considered one of the greatest tag teams of the modern era. Apart from their amazing in-ring and character work, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson are also known to be two of the founding members of All Elite Wrestling, which changed the pro wrestling business entirely.
Former WWE veteran, Matt Hardy has been a huge admirer of The Bucks as well. Matt was a part of the AEW roster from 2020 until his recent departure from the promotion. He currently performs in TNA. Recently, Simon Miller of Whatculture shared an appreciation post for The Young Bucks.
Matt took notice of the post and showered praise on The Bucks revealing the hard truth about them. Here is what Matt wrote on the 'X' social media platform:
"You’re correct, @SimonMiller316. Without the Young Bucks (and The Elite) AEW looks very, very different if it actually materializes. Besides being 1 of the greatest tag teams ever, they both have outstanding visions & understandings of the industry. I said they deserved their flowers before AEW, while I was at AEW & I will post-AEW, because it’s a hard truth."
Matt Hardy on his frustrations with booking in AEW
While speaking on his Extreme Life podcast recently, Matt Hardy The Hardy Boyz's momentum in AEW got halted due to Jeff Hardy going into trouble. However, Matt admitted how he was frustrated with their booking even after Jeff came back:
"After Jeff came back, we didn’t win any tag team matches for a year. It’s crazy. We’re The Hardys; we didn’t win a tag team match on TV in a year. And I mean, I brought this point up like, ‘What are we doing? Like we need — just to give us a win. We don’t need to be the champions, we don’t need to be undefeated. But just like, we need a win at some point.’ And it was just very frustrating."
Meanwhile, The Hardy Boyz have been reunited on TNA and the legendary tag team continues to carry the whole division of the company. Only time will tell what the future has in store for Matt and Jeff Hardy.
