Matt Hardy wants to turn heel and form a stable with WWE legend with whom he once had real-life heat
AEW star Matt Hardy has expressed his desire to form a major heel stable involving The Hardys and a WWE Hall of Famer and his former real-life rival.
The WWE legend in question is none other than The Rated-R Superstar, Adam Copeland. At the WrestleDream PPV recently, Copeland surprised the fans by making his AEW debut towards the end of the show. Following the grand arrival, a number of dream matches and feuds can now be a reality.
Interestingly, the WWE Hall of Famer has also expressed his desire to explore different opportunities outside WWE. Meanwhile, current AEW star Matt Hardy, who has had beef with Copeland in the past, also presented an idea of a stable involving The Rated-R Superstar and himself.
Matt previously reflected on the possible renewal of the legendary feud between The Hardys and Edge and Christian under the AEW roof. Meanwhile, Hardy presented a wild stable idea, where he and his brother, Jeff Hardy, would team up with their arch-rivals.
Speaking on the Extreme life of Matt Hardy, Matt said the following:
"Honestly, I would love to see, at some point, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage, Matt and Jeff Hardy all as heels. I would like to see that. I think there is something there that could work for AEW." [H/T Fightful]
Matt Hardy on the possibility of Hardy Boyz vs. Edge and Christian
As mentioned earlier, Matt Hardy also previously reflected on the possibility of him and Jeff Hardy renewing their iconic feud with Edge and Christian Cage now that they are all in AEW. Here is what Hardy said:
“I pretty much feel that is inevitable when you say that, but like you said, we’re a long way away. I mean, you have to remember that Edge is such a huge deal on his own, I still think that Adam Copeland and Christian Cage still have a lot of stuff to do on their own. I think down the road, they obviously will reunite the reconcile, they’ll figure out things one way or the other, and then will be back together.”
Henceforth, only time will tell if the fans will be fortunate enough to relive the iconic feud after decades before all the legends involved hang up their boots for good.
