"Matt and I got 45 minutes to step away from everyone" - Rhea Ripley recalls private moment from her wedding
Former Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley and AEW star Buddy Matthews reportedly began dating a few years ago. They recently got married and according to Ripley, their wedding was a memorable event.
Rhea Ripley was recently interviewed by Denise Salcedo on her YouTube channel, at the SummerSlam media day event. The latter congratulated The Judgment Day member on getting married and asked her how the whole event was. Ripley explained that everything turned out to be perfect, however, she was stressed on the auspicious day.
Furthermore, Ripley said that she and her husband got the opportunity to step away from the people around them for 45 minutes, and this proved to be important for the couple.
"It was really good. It was really really good. It was a lovely day. Obviously, I'm not used to stress at that point because I had been off for three months so I was like finally learning how to destress. And when that day came I was like 'I'm very stressed.' (laughs). So umm, I was very good. It all came together perfectly and it was a wonderful night. And I'm glad that Matt and I got 45 minutes to like step away from everyone and to just go outside to ourselves cause I feel like we really needed that," said Ripley. [From 0:00 to 0:32]
Rhea Ripley was the Women's World Champion for more than a year, however, she was forced to relinquish her title due to an injury.

In the same conversation mentioned above, Ripley said the theme of her wedding was "till death" and the colors they used were black, burgundy, and gold. Both wrestlers have similar aesthetics and the 27-year-old was delighted that she got to have a gothic wedding.
"The theme was, till death. Because it is on par with me and my aesthetic and Matt's got the same sort of aesthetic as well. And he wants me to be happy as well so he was down for it but we had a black, burgundy and gold theme. And I had my black dress and we had black roses and all of that. It was lovely, it all came together so well. My little gothic wedding." [From 0:32 to 1:06]
Rhea Ripley was on a three-month hiatus from regular programming, however, she recently returned to RAW and confronted Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio.
