Mercedes Mone breaks silence on being spotted with recently released WWE star
Mercedes Mone was spotted with a recently released WWE star. Following this, she has finally addressed their recent meeting.
Indi Hartwell wrestled for WWE from 2019 to 2024. She made a name for herself on the NXT brand where she was featured prominently as part of The Way with Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae. Her storyline romance with Dexter Lumis also helped her get over with fans.
She eventually won the NXT Women's Championship before she was called up to the main roster. Hence, she didn't get to show the world the type of champion she could be. On the main roster, her booking dwindled drastically. She was again gaining traction due to her recent feud with Bayley when WWE released her from her contract a few weeks ago.
Following this, she was spotted with Mercedes Mone and Harley Cameron and they seemed to be training together. During a recent edition of her Mone Mag newsletter, the TBS Champion said that she invited Indi Hartwell to the AEW school for a training session as the former WWE star was the perfect fit for someone who could channel Kris Statlander's energy.
"I had the chance to invite Indi Hartwell to the AEW school for a training session," Mone wrote. "I was looking for someone tall and strong who could channel Kris Statlander's energy, and Indi was the perfect fit," said Mercedes Mone. [H/T WrestlingInc]

Indi Hartwell has come a long way from when she first started in WWE. She has grown to become a popular star who has the potential to get over with the fans if booked correctly. Previously, Hartwell mentioned how she was inspired to become a wrestler after watching the CEO and Bayley's match from NXT Takeover: Brooklyn. Coincidentally, her final match in the Stamford-based promotion was against The Role Model.
During the same edition of Mone Mag newsletter, Mercedes Mone spoke about Indi's journey and how she was able to make a mark in WWE. She also said that the former NXT Women's Champion was able to come full circle by having her final WWE match against Bayley.
