Mercedes Mone has an earnest request to wrestlers who stink, MVP responds
AEW star Mercedes Mone recently made an interesting request to professional wrestlers. WWE star MVP also jumped in to provide his thoughts on the matter.
The CEO is the current AEW TBS Women's Champion and also recently captured the NJPW Strong Women's Title after defeating Stephanie Vaquer at the Forbidden Door PPV event. Mercedes has been flying high after becoming a double champ and shared an important message for fellow wrestlers on her social media.
On Instagram, Mone advised wrestlers to wash their gear and pointed out how she avoids catching up with wrestlers due to the issue.
"Boy, have I smelled some funky, funky, nasty wrestlers before. You have legit people sweat in our mouths. We sometimes have people's blood all over our bodies. The first thing that I just wanna do when I get back to the hotel is wash all of that off. I think there are a lot of people who enjoy the funk of their funk of wrestling wearing wrestling gear. Cause like I said, I've smelled a lot of boys before and I'm like, oh my God I can't even give you a hug cause smell or I walk the other way because I know they don't wash their gear. So my advice would be, wash your gear," she said.
WWE star MVP responded in the comments and shared what he likes to do with the gear after wrestling.
Booker T believes Saraya versus Mercedes Mone is the money match in AEW
Saraya and Mercedes Mone have a history together from their time in the WWE. Saraya suffered a career-threatening injury a couple of years ago and was forced to retire from in-ring competition in the Stamford-based promotion. The injury happened in a match against none other than Mercedes Mone at a WWE Live Event.
Speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T claimed that a match between Saraya and Mercedes in AEW could be money, and the company could also play the injury part into their storyline.
"That’s a match that we’ve seen before. It’s not something that’s new. It’s kind of like rehashing the past. Saraya, when she actually went out for her injury, who was the one that put her out? So to be able to come back to that at the right time. Oh, we might have some money there. That’s a money match," he said. [H/T: eWrestlingNews]
Mercedes Mone recently arrived in AEW and won the TBS Women's Championship in her debut match for the promotion. It will be interesting to see if she captures the Women's World Title by the end of the year.
