Mercedes Moné (fka Sasha Banks) breaks silence after surviving huge scare on AEW Dynamite
Mercedes Moné just defended her TBS Championship. She suffered a huge scare during the match and has now broken her silence.
Mercedes Moné's stock has risen tenfold since she arrived in AEW. She has proven a dominant force in the ring and quickly won the TBS Championship. It didn't take long for her to become a double champion. The CEO has done well in fending off all her challengers. However, she recently faced one of her toughest challengers yet.
This week on AEW Dynamite, Mercedes Moné defended her TBS Championship against Anna Jay in the opening match. To everyone's surprise, the former Dark Order member came well-prepared for the bout and even came very close to winning the title. However, The CEO proved why she is a step above her opponent.
Following the win, the former Sasha Banks took to social media to send a message to all her haters:
"I’m the greatest of all time and the greatest TBS champion to ever exist.🤑 Go ahead and argue with your keyboard! 🤣"

Athena claims she is better than Mercedes Moné
While Mercedes Moné has been dominant in an AEW ring, Athena has been a force to be reckoned with in ROH. The Goddess is the current ROH Women's World Champion - a title she has now held for 740 days. Hence, fans have been imagining a dream match between these two champions.
Athena addressed the possibility of facing The CEO during a recent interview with Denise Salcedo on the latter's YouTube channel. The Goddess said that they have faced each other in different types of matches but if it were to come down to a singles match, she could beat the TBS Champion:
"The only difference between me and her is I have more experience, and I am more hungry. I don't have to do a little hip swivel dance and say, 'I got money!' No, I got grit; I got determination, and I got these two fists that will dot those eyes, hussy. So at the end of the day, like, I know that I'm better than her; it's a matter of showing the world that I'm better than her. At the same time, I'm curious how it would go," she added. [16:30-18:55]
