Mercedes Moné (fka Sasha Banks) invited 56-year-old legend for a drink after AEW Dynamite
Mercedes Moné recently invited a wrestling veteran for a drink following Dynamite. The star being discussed is Minoru Suzuki. Both were featured on the 250th episode of Dynamite.
The CEO of AEW is one of the company's top stars and holds two championships. She is currently feuding with Britt Baker, who tried to attack her from the crowd but was stopped by security.
Meanwhile, Suzuki appeared on the Dynamite 250 episode. The 56-year-old pro wrestling icon interrupted Chris Jericho's TV Time and handed him the contract for their match next week, with the FTW Championship on the line.
The Japanese sensation shared a post on Instagram where he wrote about Mercedes Moné inviting him over for a drink. He also revealed they talked about many stories from wrestling.
"As I was checking in at the hotel, I heard a voice on the other side... "Hey Suzuki~Come here~" A few people were drinking after AEW Dynamite had finished... They were clearly having a blast... That's it... That's it... let's go! Then Mone @mercedesmone approached me and said, "You're going for tequila, right?" I should have gone! Let's meet up. We talked about various things. Stories about professional wrestling, stories from the past, stories about the future... The night falls on Little Rock. I was flying home first thing tomorrow morning!" he wrote. WWE Legend Booker T wants Mercedes Moné to face Saraya
Mercedes Moné and Saraya wrestled each other multiple times in WWE as Sasha Banks and Paige, respectively. However, the duo are yet to clash in AEW.
While speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T said the clash between these two former WWE Superstars in AEW will be a "money match."
"That’s a match that we’ve seen before. It’s not something that’s new. It’s kind of like rehashing the past. Saraya, when she actually went out for her injury, who was the one that put her out? So to be able to come back to that at the right time. Oh, we might have some money there. That’s a money match," he said.
It will be interesting to see if the two women ever cross paths in AEW again.
