Mercedes Moné (FKA Sasha Banks) makes a big announcement ahead of AEW Dynamite

AEW star Mercedes Moné recently made a big announcement. The announcement was made ahead of this week's edition of Wednesday Night Dynamite.

The reigning AEW TBS Champion and NJPW Strong Women's Champion defeated Stephanie Vaquer in a Winner Takes All Match at Forbidden Door 2024 to become a double champion. She will defend her TBS Title against The Native Beast, Nyla Rose, in the 250th episode of Dynamite this Wednesday.

Ahead of her title defense, The CEO took to her Instagram Stories to reveal the name of her newsletter. She also asked her fans to stay tuned for new editions of Moné Mag every week.

''Did y'all hear? My newsletter officially has a name: Moné Mag! Don't miss out on my editions coming out every week!'' she wrote.

WWE legend comments on Mercedes Moné wrestling former WWE rival in AEW

Before becoming All Elite, Mercedes Moné was hugely popular for her stint with WWE. There, she was involved in a feud with Saraya (FKA Paige), who is also now a part of the Jacksonville-based promotion.

Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T. commented on the prospect of The CEO and The Anti-Diva squaring off in AEW. The former WWE World Champion stated that the match would be a huge draw.

"That’s a match [Saraya vs. Mercedes] that we’ve seen before. It’s not something that’s new. It’s kind of like rehashing the past. Saraya, when she actually went out for her injury, who was the one that put her out? So to be able to come back to that at the right time. Oh, we might have some money there. That’s a money match," he said.

The duo have faced each other multiple times in the Stamford-based promotion (both in singles and multi-team matches). Saraya's last match in WWE was a six-woman tag team match, which also featured the erstwhile Sasha Banks.

Saraya, Mandy Rose, and Sonya Deville took on Mickie James, Bayley, and Mercedes Moné during a WWE house show in 2017. During the match, The CEO kicked The Anti-Diva a little too hard on her neck, which aggravated an old injury and forced the latter to retire from in-ring competition. Saraya eventually returned to in-ring action after joining AEW in 2022.
